Classic Results - Lake Cohoon & Meade

19 & 20 October 2024

Well, we wrapped up the 2024 season with a bang, both days were simply gorgeous with bluebird skies, low humidity and temps barely reaching 70. We drew Lake Meade the first day and Cohoon on the second. First day fishing was tough for most anglers with only three teams in the double digits with Chris & Rob in 1st, with Mike & Rick in 2nd and Matt & Faith in 3rd. Then came day 2 the fishing in the morning seems to be a repeat of day one, however once 11 O’clock rolled around fishing seem to pick up and reports with some anglers catching 20 – 30 fish of which most were in the pound range. The consistently of Chris & Rob made them take 1st place honors they also had Lunker both days as well with a total weight of 32.40 lbs. Now 2nd Place of Mark & Bret slightly different with them coming from behind to pull in a little upset in the final rankings with a weight of 23.48 lbs. 3rd went to Mike & Rick with 21.57lbs they drop a bit from day one. 4th went to Matt & Faith who were consistent both days with a final weight of 21.28 lbs. Wrapping up 5th place was Casey & Corey with the last of the 20 lbs. range, for the classic. Their final weight was 20.29 lbs. What a great season for Bass-Jons, congratulations to the top five classic winners and our season champions:

Angler of the Year: Chris Fiegle

Non-Boater Angler of the Year: Bret Boswell

Junior Angler of the Year: Steven Brann, Jr

Lunker of the Year 7.49 Lbs.: Danny Senters

Lake Smith Results

5 October 2024

Wow what a gorgeous day on the water, temps in the mid-seventies, partly cloudy skies with light winds from the north. Ok now for the fishing side of the event, fishing was tough for all anglers with burst of activity and long stretches with no bites. They seem to turn on late afternoon with anglers that had decent fish catching them minutes before weigh in. However, that didn’t stop the top five pulling double digits. Taking 1st place is Rick & Logan with 14.49 lbs they also had Lunker of then day with a nice 4.48 lb fish. Following close behind to take 2nd place was Travis & Tyler with 13.14 lbs. Coming in 3rd place was Ivan Morris. Reports at the weight had fish taken on everything in their tackle box so patterns hard to determine. This was the last regular event of the year. Our classic is set for 19-20 Oct and will draw on 18 Oct and posted on the Intents Board and Face Book Live at PM. All Suffolk Lakes in the Hat. Congratulations to Chris Fiegle for Angler of the Year, Bret Boswell for Non-Boater Angler of the Year, Steven Brann as Junior Angler of the Year and Danny Senters for Lunker of the Year.

Lake Prince Results

21 Sept 2024

Ok it was a nice day, light winds high seventies with partly cloudy skies. Everyone had high hopes for a killer day on the water. However, those hopes were dashed the first couple hours of the tournament. Fish were hard to find, the bites soft and the ones that did bite were less than the minimum. That didn’t stop Jim & Rich from bring in a decent sack with 16.43 lbs and Lunker of the day at 4.15 lbs. 2nd place taken by Tyler & Justin with 12.95 lbs. Coming in 3rd was Chris & Rob with 12.47 lbs. The reports at the weigh in had fish taken on everything plus the kitchen sink. Congratulations to Chris Fiegle for locking down Angler of the Year and Steven Brann, Jr for Junior Angler of the Year. The race for Non-Boater of the Year is currently a tie between Rob Brown & Bret Boswell so it’s a nail biter right up to the last event on Lake Smith in two weeks.

Perquimans River Results

7 Sept 2024

The weather regarding temp and humidity were great low seventies, however it did rain from blast off until around 2PM. Depending on who you talked to who it was a slow day and others catching fish all day long. For us we had over thirty fish, but only five were above 14” the rest 13-13.5”. In any case, a good day on the water. 1st Place went to Mark & Bret with 17.10 lbs their kicker was 4.75 lbs. Next in 2nd was Steven & Steven with 10.94 lbs. Coming in 3rd was Mike & Rick with 10.90 lbs. Their kicker was 4.99 lbs. Lunker of the day went to Tyler Bunch with a 6.35 lb fish. Reports had fish taken a variety of soft plastics. The Angler of the Year race still has Chris Fiegle in the lead with 134 points and Mark Chavis at 127 points. It is still mathematically possible for Mark to still capture the title with two events left in the regular season.  The Non-Boater Angler of the Year is currently a tie between Rob Brown and Bret Boswell so it will be a battle to the end. Also, it’s still possible that Corey Mrozinski can come from behind and take the whole banana.

Lake Cohoon & Meade Results

24 August 2024

First let’s say what a gorgeous day for August, temps’ low eighties with humidity barley reaching in the high fifties with winds from the North. You couldn’t ask for a better day to be out on the water fishing. Now fishing that’s a completely different story, we had seventeen boats with seven teams bringing in a limit and only five with double digits. Reports had long periods between catching fish. The bites were lite and quick, and you had to be ready, or you’ll miss the fish, also name the species of fish and they were caught. Now to the results, the most consistent team within the club is Chris & Rob this season and they racked another win with 18.23 lbs they also had lunker of the day with a nice 6.23 lb fish. Coming in 2nd Place is another team that stays at the top Casey & Corey with 15.03 lbs. The 3rd place team was Brandon & Jacob with 12.38. Now what they caught fish on that day was a variety of soft plastics, crankbaits and drop shot. Hope to see everyone at the next event on 7 Sept on Perquimans River.

Western Branch Results

10 August 2024

The weather was hot and humid for most of the day with mostly cloudy skies with little to no wind throughout the day. The rain poured as soon as we started the weight in go figure. Wow what a tough day on Branch we had eighteen boats with only five limits and five teams did not weigh. Reports had teams using everything in their arsenal to try and catch fish. The ones that were on them reported long stretches between bites. However, there are always teams that figure out the long game and bring the weights that this lake has been known for. 1st Place went to Mark & Brett with 19.92 lbs and they also had lunker of the day with a nice 5.05 lb fish. Coming in 2nd Place is Casey & Corey with 17.38 lbs with a nice anchor fish of 4.33 lbs.  The 3rd Place honors went to Chris & Rob with 11.43 lbs.  The Angler of the Year still has Chris Fiegle in the lead with Mark Chavis a mere five points behind, The Non-Boater Angler of the Year is Bret Boswell with Rob Brown behind the leader by seven points. The race is still very tight and with four regular events left for the season could be anyone’s game. I wish we could tell you what pattern the key for this event was, but the reports had fish taken on a variety of baits for the group. Next event is Lake Cohoon & Meade hope to see everyone there.

Burnt Mills Tournament Results

27 July 2024

Ok what a gorgeous day temps reached 82 degrees, humidity was in the low sixties and light winds made a great day on the water. However, the fishing was tough with long stretches between fish. Some teams had five by 9AM and others late afternoon.  But someone always figures out the pattern and this week it was Casy & Corey taking 1st place with 14.83 lbs. Coming in 2nd place was Jim & Flynn with 13.19 lbs and they also had lunker with a nice 5.06 lb fish. Rounding out 3rd place was Mark & Bret with 12.75 lbs. The Angler of the Year has Chris Fiegle in the lead with 114 points and Mark Chavis at 107 with Casey Griggs coming in with 98 points. All three have been very consistent all year so it can get real tight at the end. For Non-Boater Angler of the Year, we have Bret Boswell take the lead over Rob Brown this week, and both have been on a roll this year so there is another race to watch. Reports at weigh in had fish taken on you name it, and it was used.  The next tournament is Western Branch on 10 August hope to see everyone there.

Lake Prince Tournament Results

13 July 2014

Ok it was hot and wet day for sure, the high hopes for a killer day weren’t to be. Most of the field reported have rough time just finding fish. Only three teams had five fish limits and five only having double digits. It was so bad the pickerel wasn’t biting. Not sure if the three days of storms or dumping 3-5 inches of rain had this effect.  However, as we say someone always figures them out in this case it was Mark & Bret with a nice sack for 19.31 lbs they had a five pounder and some heavy fours as well, great job. Then there was Jack & Kevin with 2nd place, bringing in a 15.77 lbs proving its nice to be on your home lake. Rounding out in 3rd place was Chris & Rob 12.56 lbs they also had a 4.09 lb kicker. The Lunker of the day went to Mike with 6.57 lb beauty.  Now that we completed our 10th event the Angler of the Year is shaping up and Chris Fiegle is still holding the lead by 8 points, the 2nd place runner up is a tie between Tyler Bunch and Mark Chavis and holding 3rd place is Brandon Roundtree. Now it starts coming down to throwing out the lower events score when they reach ten events it will be nail bitter for sure.  The Non-Boater Angler of the Year still has Jacob Reynolds holding the lead by a mere point, again another tie for 2nd place with Rob Brown and Bret Boswell, the 3rd place spot is Tony Huggins. Reports at the weight had fish being caught, you name it, and it was thrown. The next event is Burnt Mills on 27 July/ Hope to see you all out there. Also be looking for the results of the Suffolk Challege which is hosted by the Single / Double Trail and will have five boat teams from all the local clubs and trails participating. This event is being held on 20 July.

Lake Cohoon Results

29 June 2024

Okay it was a hot one weather wise with temps in the mid-nineties with real feel at over a 100. Lucky that we had party cloudy skies which granted some relief. The water temp started at 82 degrees and by the end of the day saw it 87 degrees. That didn’t stop the fish from biting, as we had 17 boats in double–digit range and 10 boats with 14 lbs and above. We had 21 boats for the event, paid out four places. Reports had boats catching close to 20 – 25 fish throughout the day.  Dan brought in 19.76 lbs and a kicker of 5.07 lbs to take 1st place. Following close behind for 2nd place was Casy & Corey had 17.78 lbs and their kicker was 4.7 lb fish.  Tyler & Travis took 3rd place with 16.56 lbs and they also have Lunker of the day with 5.20 lb fish.  The 4th place went to Tim & Steve with 16.48 lbs and their big fish was 4.03.  The Angler of the Year race is close between Chris Fiegle and Tyler Bunch who are only three points apart. Then Mark Chavis moved into the 3rd place slot just edging out Brandon Rountree. The Non-Boater AOY is equally close with Jacob Reynolds in the lead with Tony Huggins a mere point behind, the 3rd place spot has Rob Brown in however Bret Boswell is just a point behind. Next event is Lake Prince on 13 July hope to see everyone there.

Chowan River Tornament Results

15 June 2024

Okay, first time fishing this river this far south from Shoups Landing. First it was a hot mess on the temps in the high eighties with real feel in the mid-nineties. The UV index for the day was 11 on the scale.  The reports from anglers were that they caught lots of fish especially in the morning, however a good majority were just under the 14” size limit for NC.  Not a bad showing for the first time most of the anglers fished this river. First Place went to Tyler & Tony with 12.89 lbs they also had lunker of the day with a nice 6.10 lb fish. Second Place was Chris & Rob with 11.37 lbs their kicker was a 3.61 lb river beauty. Third Place went to Lewis & Jerry with 11.09 lbs. The Angler of the Year race remains tight with Chris Fiegle a mere three points ahead of Tyler Bunch. The Non- Boater Angler of the Year spots shifted this event with bringing Tony Huggins into the top spot over Jacob Reynolds by just two points and not far behind is Rob Brown just three points below the leader. Lake Smith Tournament Results

1 June  20224

Wow what an incredible day weather wise, temps in the high 70’s to low 80’s nice breeze and sunny all day long. The fish were biting as most of the field came in with limits. Reports had some anglers catching 15 to 20 bass throughout the day.  Lots of small fish, however there were some decent fish brought to the scales.  First place was Jim & Rich with 18.78 lbs., followed closely by Dan with 18.70. Coming in 3rd was Travis & Tyler with 16.38 lbs., they also had Lunker of the day with a nice 5.94 lb. fish. The Angler of the Year is tight so far with Chris Fiegle maintaining his lead by a mere 4 points. Right behind him is Tyler Bunch and in the 3rd Place spot is Brandon Rountree. The next tournament is on the Chowan River on 15 June. Hope to see you all there.

Perquimans River Tournament Results

18 May 2024

Well, the weather didn’t cooperate with rain throughout the day, however, didn’t stop 11 boats from braving the conditions to fish. For the most part anglers reported catching large numbers of fish but getting the 14” minimum length requirement presented a challenge. This is fast becoming one of the clubs’ favorite rivers to fish with countless cypress trees and structures. The team of Chris Fiegle & Rob Brown took 1st place with 13.56 lbs. Second Place went to Steven & Steven Brann with 11.78 lb they also had linker of the next with nice 4.09 lb fish. Coming in 3rd Place was Tyler Bunch & Tony Huggins with 11.26 lbs. The Angler of the Race is shaping up nicely with six events in the books, Chris Fiegle is in the number spot with a good lead, Tyler Bunch isn’t far behind the leader and Brandon Rountree in the 3rd place slot. Our next event is Lake Smith on 1 June.

Lake Meade Tournament Results

4 May 2024

All week the weather was warm, sunny with mild nights and hopes for a killer tournament were envisioned. However, a cold front came late Friday that dropped temps by twenty degrees with 99 % cloud cover that carried over into Sat. This put a damper on some of the expected high weight bags that should have come to the scales. Although reports had some fish taken by bed-fishing it was nowhere near what was expected, with some teams struggling to get their limits.  The air temps started off in the high fifties and remained there until about 1PM and then quickly rose to 73 degrees, the water temp was 71 degrees. All that considered didn’t stop Mark & Bret from taking 1st Place with 19.97 lbs they also had lunker of the day with a nice 5.83 lb fish. Then right behind them was Brandon & Jacob in 2nd place with 16.49 lbs and they also had a nice kicker with a 5.79 fish. The 3rd place team of Chris & Rob came in with 14,44 lbs. Reports had fish taken on spinner & chatter baits and Senko’s.  The Angler of the Year and Non-Boater AOY race as expected early in the season keeps changing from event to event. So, Chris Fiegle takes the lead again as top angler and he’s been consistent, he would further ahead in the standings but had to miss a tourney. The Non-Boater AOY is now Jacob Reynolds and he’s having a pretty good season to date.  Looking at the stats for AOL it’s anyone’s game for the top six. Next event is the Perquimans River.

Western Branch Tournament Results

20 April 2024

Okay the tournament setup for this time of year was on track, we had warm weather all week, the moon was almost full and dogwoods in bloom. Yep, it’s the full swing of spawn season. Although most of the field said they saw lots of beds and those with fish were not biting.  That wasn’t the case for everyone, and reports did have plenty of fish taken just fishing.  However, the 1st place winners this week Larry & Jason had 21.26 lbs with a 5.15 kicker said they benefited from both methods of fishing. Coming in 2nd place was Mike & Chris with 20.58 and they also had lunker of the day with a nice 6.73 lb fish. Rounding out 3rd Place was Tyler & Tony with 18.06 lbs. Plenty of 5, 4 and too many 3 lbs fish to count were brought to the scales. Seems the pig & jig, chatter bait, spinner bait was predominating baits of choice. The Angler of the Year is shaping up already with three events in the books.  This tournament brings in Tyler Bunch to the top spot followed by Chris Fiegle and Casey Griggs,

Burnt Mills Tournament Results

6 April 24

It was a brisk morning with air temps starting at 38 degrees, the water temp was 52. The NW winds didn’t kick in until midday and stayed about 15 – 25 mph. Reports had numerous beds located, however no fish on them. A few said they caught a couple off the beds. Overall, it was grind all day to bring in fish with the cold front that started on Thursday. That being said, there are those that manage to pull off a wind. Jim & Rich took 1st place with 13.63 lbs. They also have Lunker of the day with a 4.35 fish.  Right behind them was Chris & Steve with 12.85 lbs. With three tournaments under his belt Chris Fiegle is taking a ten-point lead in the Angler of the Year Race. Then coming in 3rd Place was Jeff & Brain with 11.97 lbs.  Although it was a cold start in the morning the day turned out to be an enjoyable day on the water with air temps’ barely reaching 60 degrees.  Next event is the Western Branch on 20 Apr, don’t forget to sign up via Intents board. Also, a big thank you to all that purchased Gun Raffle tickets 100% of the proceeds go to the Fisher House. I will have tickets to sell at the next tourney.

Hats off to the 15 boats that braved the morning rain and winds, it poured at times dumping over 2” inches throughout the day.  The winds varied during the day from 9 mph to gusts over 23 mph. Keeping boats in the strike zone could be challenging at times, however the top anglers managed and keyed in on bites that mattered.  It was predicted that it would be a good day for fishing and that was backed upped with a seven pounder and two six lb fish brought to the scales.  First Place was taken by Tyler Bunch & Tony Huggins with a 22.51 lb bag, they also had Lunker of the day with a 7-pound beauty. Bass-Jons Lake Prince Tournament Results – 9 March 2024

Great kick off event for the start of our 23rd season. We had twenty boats that braved the weather which was raining 95% of the day, winds 8 -15 mph. Temps were mild in the 50’s.  It was tough fishing with only four boats bringing in limits and even those reporting that they may have only culled one or two times during the day. We paid out four places. The team of Chris & Rob took 1st place with 18.28 lbs, coming in 2nd was Casey & Corey with 16.88 lbs. Then was the team of Mark & Brent for 3rd place with 16.11 lbs. Wrapping up 4th place was Jack & Craig with 13.5 lbs. The Lunker of the day went to Danny Senters with a nice Hawg coming in at 7.49 lbs. Reports had fish taken on you name it was used. Most reported that when they did land a fish there were long pauses in between.  Hope to see at the next one.

Bass-Jons Classic Tournament Results

 21 - 22 October 2023

We held our classic over two days, the first day was at Lake Prince and the 2nd on Cohoon & Meade. Big shout out to Singles / Doubles Tournament Trail that pulled Cohoon & Meade from the hat for their draw, much appreciated. Let’s start with day one, first only six boats had limits and the weights were very low for lake averages. Jim & Rich had 12.40 for the lead followed close by Brandon & Jacob with 11.58, then in 3rd place was John & Steven with 10.49. Steven Atkins also had Lunker of the day with a nice 4.61 lb Hawg.  Talk at the ramp everyone had to fight for what they got.  Then the second day most of the club went to Meade and rest to Cohoon. Another tough day for most anglers, however Casey & Corey made an incredible rally with 17.13 lb sack to take 1st place with 25.96 lbs, Casey also had Lunker of the day with a nice 5.46 lb beauty.  Jim & Rich had another good day with 11.21 lbs for a total of 23.61 lbs. Coming 3rd was Brandon & Jacob they brought 11.67 lbs to the scale for a total of 23.25 lbs. The top five were in the money so 4th place went to Steven & Steven Brann with 18.67 lbs and 5th place went to Bob & Jerry with 16.88 lbs. All reports indicated that the second day was just as difficult finding and catching fish. That finishes up the 2023 Season, Bass-Jons will be hosting a, open winter series check the area tournament schedule for dates.

Lake Smith Tournament Results

7 October 2023

Hard to believe that the regular season is over with just the classic left to conduct. The weather regarding temperature was awesome in the high sixties. It did rain twice during the day but no heavy downpours.  Everyone did catch fish, but reports had it with difficulty getting their limit. Water temps were seventy degrees with winds from the NE 18 – 28 mph. It started out sunny for the first couple of hours then turned cloudy for the rest of the tournament. Well, that brings us to the results taking first place was the father and son team of Steven & Steven Brann they had 12,19 lbs. Close behind was Brand & Jacob with 11.41 lbs. That brings us to 3rd place with Ivan with 11.29 lbs. The Lunker was taken by the Rick & Richard team with a 3.99 lb . Reports at the weigh in had fish taken on crankbaits, Senko’s, drop shot and you name a soft plastic it was used. The end of season names our top anglers for the 2023 Season. Perquimans River Tournament Results

9 September 2023

This is the first time Bass-Jons as a club have fished the Perquimans River. For some it was a good day, for others not so much. Although the temps were lower the humidity was at an all-time high making it uncomfortable and then the spot rain showers made for a not so enjoyable day on the water. Casey and Corey score another win showing that their fishing skills don’t only apply to the Suffolk lakes they had 14.92 lbs and a big fish of 5.45 lbs. Coming in second was Lewis & Rich with 14.61 lbs and had Lunker of the day with a giant river Hawg of 6.94 lbs. Third place went to Danny & David with 13.28 lbs. Reports had soft plastics as the bait of choice throughout the day. Notable catches:

Lake Cohoon & Meade Tournament Results

26 August 2023

Another mid-summer scorcher for sure temps reached mid-nineties with real feel at 106 degrees. One that puts the pressure on the anglers to keep focus and catch fish. Reports had some anglers catching over twenty bass to others that struggled throughout the day to try and get a limit.  However, someone always figures it out or happens to key on a certain pattern that produces the bigger bags. This week that was Casey and Corey taking first place with 15.70 lbs. The following close behind with second place was Rich and Jin with 13.77 lbs, Rich also caught the lunker of the day a 5.66 Hawg. Third honors went to Rick & Logan with 13.02. Only four of fifteen boats had double digits. Reports had fish taken on top water baits, name a soft plastic it was used, crankbaits and jig.  The Angler of the Year Race has Casey firmly in the lead and it will be a challenge for Steve or Brandon to catch up. The Non-Boater AOY is much closer with Cody in the lead and Cory a mere one point behind with Jacob still in striking distance. Other notable catches:

Another event in the books and with heat index at 106 degrees and slight winds from the south. Made for a hot grind on the water for most anglers. Burnt Mills Tournament Results

29 July 2023

Wow it was a hot one for sure temps in the high nineties with heat index reaching 108-111 degrees. We did have some relief with the wind but one for the record books for sure. The water temp was 86 – 89 degrees so the main objective was to keep the fish alive, we shortened the tournament day and the club members kept plenty of ice to keep the fish alive. 1st place went to Steve & Cody with 13.83 lbs. 2nd place was the ever-consistent Casey & Steve with 12.55 lbs. Coming in 3rd place was Brandon & Jacob with 11.12 lbs. Big Fish honors went to Steve Brann with a nice 5.43 lb beauty. The Angler of the Year race is still too close to call. Currently Casey has the lead with Brandon within striking distance with Steve Funkhouser a mere 2 points behind. Lake Cohoon Tournament Results

1 July 2023

Another event in the books and its was a hot one getting up into the nineties with little cloud cover and winds barley noticeable. The weather may have been hot but so was the fishing. Happen to witness Casey and Corey key in on a spot and we watched them boat fish after fish. Casey got so busy catching fish that Corey could do nothing but net and cull fish. Casey noted that they landed 20 plus fish during the course of 45 minutes. They happen upon a bunch of stacked fish for sure. However, the other news is we have a new Lunker of the Year with Jacob Reynolds bringing in a nice 7.15 lb Hawg. Brandon & Jacob also racked up their first win as a team having 16.11 lbs to take 1st place. Coming in 2nd was Casey & Corey with 15 lbs. 3rd place went to father and son team of Steven & Steven Jr with 14.66 lbs. Most of the field of 18 boats had five fish. Reports at the weigh in had fish taken on jigs, plastics, the Senko and some crankbaits.  Also want to recognize that Noah Jordan fished his first tournament amazing considering he isn’t even old enough to start school. The Angler of the year race is heating up Casey still has the lead with Brandon just six points behind and John is just three points away from taking over Brandon’s spot. The Non-Boater of the Year race is tight currently Jacob has the lead with Steven Atkins just two points behind and Cody within reach as well. Next tournament will be the tenth of the season starting with the 11th event we’ll just be counting the individuals best top 10 scores, then it becomes down to a true fight to the finish.

Cancer Benefit Tournament Lake Meade & Cohoon

13 May 2023

The local fishing community pulled together to support a local girl who is fighting Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma cancer. Bass-Jons sponsored the event with clubs and trails from Jon Boat Elite Trail, Hawg Wild, Single-Doubles Trail and some local legends. We are happy to report that the benefit was a complete success, the young lady had no idea we were doing the event until she arrived, to support family and friends to what she thought was just a regular tournament. She was taken aback by all the support and kindness received from all the anglers that fished and contributed.   We raised a grand total of $2,545.00! Now onto the results, first it ended up to a pretty nice day partly sunny and temps reaching the mid eighties and winds 9-20 mph. We had twenty-three boats participate in the event with a payout for four places. The team that took 1st Place Brad Webb & Matt Holt with 25.03 lbs they also had Lunker of the day with massive 8.19 lb fish. According to the team they literally caught this fish within sight of the boat ramp at 3:55, so the saying it’s not over until it’s over held true for them. Coming in 2nd Place was Evan Worley & Allen Oliner with 19.33 lbs. Third Place went to Chris Mullins & Jake Lusk with 18.18 lbs and coming 4th was Bob Bullen & Kevin Atkins with 16.50 lbs.  Again, a big thank you to all that came out and supported the event, it was really appreciated.

Other notable fish catches of the day went to the following teams:

Larry King & Jason Woolard: 6.44 lbs

Travis Sewell & Tyler Hobbs: 5.42 lb

Bob Bullen & Steve Atkins: 5.18 lbs

Incredible three tournaments in a row where the winds were 15 – 30 mph. Lake Prince Tournament Results - 11 March 2023

Bass-Jons

Wow what a great way to lick off our 22nd season. The weather as far as temps and partly sunny skies made the opening event somewhat enjoyable, however the winds 14 mph with frequent gusts over 30 mph made fishing at times difficult. The water temps were 52 degrees. Only four teams had double digits numbers and then only three had a five fish limit. Casey & Corey took 1st place with 19.68 lbs, they also had Lunker of the day with a nice 5.41 lb fish. Coming in 2nd was Steve & Cody with 16.68 lbs. I think we see these two teams battle it out throughout the year, 3rd Place went to Mike & Mike with 11.85.
